Alien Blues (Acoustic) Official Visualizer Release
Alien Blues is a longtime favorite for many fans of Boston indie rock band Vundabar. So much so that the band has released several different versions of the song, including the original and most recently, an acoustic version. The official visualizer for the latest rendition is now live on YouTube for fans all over the world to enjoy!
The Official Visualizer for the acoustic version of fan favorite, Alien Blues is now live! A breath of fresh air, the acoustic version breathes new life into the track. For longtime fans, there’s a distinct feel to the song that only the Vundabar boys could cook up. But at the same time, this acoustic rendition almost feels like an entirely new song. It is fresh, new, exciting and as comforting as something familiar can be. Sort of like coming home for Thanksgiving and enjoying your aunt’s totally new spin on a beloved classic pumpkin pie… heavy emphasis on the “sort of.” But you get the vibe.
Originally released in 2015, Alien Blues is one of the ten tracks featured on Vundabar’s sophomore album, Gawk. Early fans of the Boston based indie rockers loved it then and they still dig the track now! It’s a ‘must’ for practically every setlist on the Devil For The Fire and Good Old tours. In the isolation of pandemic era quarantine, the song became a hit all over again, a la TikTok (in part). Now even more indie rock fans are loving Vundabar’s unique blend of post-punk meets surf rock energy and a jangle pop mood. Have you checked out the visualizer yet?
